I think FOOYANCHO Solar Post Lights are the best post top lights. These are nice lights, very good light. I have three on my gazebo, and easily grill with just them, well lit. I wish they were available with different length extensions, though. Back neighbors have asked where I got them, and my wife wants some for her property at work. On sunny days, they’ll still be slightly lit the next morning, but cloudy days they’re notably less bright and don’t make it near to dawn. So moving into the longer fall and winter nights they do very well into the late hours, but on the shorter sunny spring and summer days these things really shine, all night (they start full blast and fade, naturally, but they’re still on the next morning). I recommend highly for “always on” lights, anywhere you can’t easily light or provide power. There’s no motion sensor, just light on at dusk, light off at dawn, given adequate daylight charge. I also have a gazebo hanging “always on” light that is not nearly as bright, but it “sips” power so well that it lights the same all night, regardless. These are not like that, they are not “sippers”, still they’re good till well after close of evening activity. Together, they provide a very nice ambiance all night, that’s the winning combo.
