Bottom Line
The JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter with Air Compressor is a very good and useful accessory for your car. As the name suggests, you can jumpstart your car if you have a dead battery (or a battery running low on juice) and even fill-up the tires with its inflator function. With its large 96Wh battery, you can even use the device as a power bank to charge your smartphones and laptops.

Imagine a situation where you are ready to go to office on a Monday morning. You have everything ready for a meeting/presentation. You sat in the car, put the key in the ignition and tried to start the engine. But the car won’t start as the starter battery has low voltage, or worse, is completely dead.

You could wait for roadside assistance to come and rescue. Or if you have access to another car (a friend or neighbor), you could jumpstart your car with the help of the second car. What if we told you there is a device that can not only help you in such situations but also has many other useful features? We are talking about Portable Jump Starters.

A jump starter is a portable powerhouse that delivers an instant surge of energyinto your dead or weakened battery to start the engine. Whether you’re stranded in the middle of nowhere, caught in a downpour, or running late for a crucial meeting, a jump starter is your ticket to getting back on the road swiftly.

We recently got our hands on the JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter with Air Compressor. It is an interesting piece of accessory as it combines the functionalities of a jump starter, a tire inflator, and even a power bank in one device. But does it deliver what it claims? This is the review of the JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter with Air Compressor. We are writing this review after using the jump starter to crank a car with “dead” battery, inflate a completely flat tire, and charge multiple devices using its USB Ports. We also tested the amount of time this jump starter takes to recharge using different methods. Continue reading to find out more about our thoughts and impressions of the same.

Let us kick things off by taking a look at the contents of the package. Opening the box,we have another box with a bunch of accessories in it. What do we get as accessories? First, we have the main jump starter cable with EC8 Plug on one end and two heavy duty clamps (alligator clips) on the other end. Then we have a couple of USB cables, one is USB Type-C to Type-C and the other is USB Type-A to Type-C.

After that, we get a DC Plug with cigarette lighter adapter on the other end. Next, we have the hose for air compressor. Last but not least, there is a tiny box with a collection of nozzles for the air compressor hose. Putting the accessories box aside, we then have the user manual. There is some basic information regarding the specifications, usage, and safety. We recommend you go through this guide before operating the jump starter.

Speaking of which, we then have the main event in the package i.e., the JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter unit with Air Compressor. It is a bulky unit with lots of bells and whistles. We will take a detailed look at the device in the next section. That’s it for the unboxing.

Holding the jump starter in hands for the first time, you can feel its weight. It is a chunky unitthat weighs around 3 and a half pounds. On the top (the side with the display), we have the LED Display that indicates the battery voltage or air pressure. There are some other indicators for input, output, error, fast charging, and battery level.

Below the display, we have total of 6 buttons. Starting from the left, we have the LED Light Button, the Air Compressor Pump Button, Tire Pressure Unit Button, Tire Pressure Increase and Decrease Buttons, and the power button. On the leftside, you can see a large array of LED lights and on the right side there is the outlet port for the air compressor (where you have to connect the air compressor hose) and a tiny metal ring (to hold the unit or tie a lanyard).

On the side below the display, you can the main ports of the jump starter. The first port (on the left) is the EC8 Port for connecting the jump starter clamps. Next (on the right), we have the DC Jack, USB-A Port, and USB-C Port. We will talk more about these ports in the later sections. On the bottom side, there is a sticker with some important specifications and basic usage instructions.

Let us now see how the JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter performs in real-life testing. First, we will begin with the main function i.e., the Jump Starter. We did a couple of tests in this mode. For the first test, we replaced our almost new car battery with a slightly old and discharged battery. The voltage on this battery was around 10V and this is not sufficient to start the 3.3L V6 engine we got. Perfect scenario to test our jump starter.

Before proceeding with the jump-starting test, we fully charged the JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter. Now, we connected the jump starter clamps to the jump starter on its EC8 Port and then connected the red and black clips to the red and black (positive and negative) terminals of the battery respectively.

Jump Starter in Action

To turn the unit on, you have to press the power button (or even the LED button). Now, the jump starter starts to show the battery voltage onits display. So, apart from using the device as a jump starter and air compressor (or power bank), you can also use it to check the voltage levels of the car/truck battery.

As we connected everything and switched on the jump starter, the next step is to start the car. We did just that and the car started in just 2 seconds.

Sometimes, the car battery goes completely flat and the voltage drop significantly low (lower than a threshold where it is impossible to recharge the battery). We call this a dead battery. As we didn’t have any dead battery at our disposal, we tried to simulate a similar situation by removing the battery altogether from the car and directly connecting the jump starter in its place.

But the problem with this approach is you cannot use the jump starter in normal mode. Don’t worry. There is a solution for this as well. For such situations, we have to change the mode of the jump starter from normal to forced. How to do it? Simple. Before connecting the jump starter clamps to the car, we have to switch the jump starter on and then press and hold the tire pressure unit button (with label BAR/PSI) for 5 seconds. This will engage the Forced Start Mode in the jump starter. As an indicator of this, the green light on the display will stay lit constantly.

Jump Starter with Air Compressor

Continuing our “dead battery” test, we then connected the clamps of the jump starter to the car’s positive and negative terminals and then started the car. As expected, the JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter could start the 3.3L engine in just a couple of seconds.

We performed both these tests one after the other and right after fully charging the jump starter. After completing these tests, the battery level indicator on the display of the JQP3750 dropped one point. But this could mean the battery level dropped anywhere between 99% to 75%. This is where a digital readout of the battery percentage on the display would have been nice.

The next important and useful function of the JOMGAND JQP3750 is the tire inflator. Whether you use the jump starter feature or not, you will definitely use the tire inflator quite often. If you take your car out frequently, then the chances of having a discharged battery are very less but the chances of having a deflated tire are significantly more.

This is where the tire inflator in the JQP3750 comes in handy. The device has a powerful air pump that can inflate larger tires with pressures up to 150 psi. But for cars and small trucks, maximum of 45 to 50 psi would be fine. The output of the tire inflator is on the right side of the unit, where you have to attach the air inflator hose.

Tire Inflator in Action

After attaching the hose to the output of the air pump and connecting the other end of the hose to the tire’s valve, the display will start showing the current pressure of the tire. You can change the unit of the tire pressure between BAR and PSI by pressing the BAS/PSI button.

Now, we have to set the required tire pressure using the “+” and “-” buttons. When you set the desired pressure, it will blink 3 times. To start the inflation process, press and hold the PUMP button for 2 seconds. The air pump comes to life and starts inflating the tire. When the tire pressure reaches the set pressure, the air pump turns off automatically. If you want to manually turn off the pump, just press the PUMP button anytime.

We tried to fill a completely flat car tire with pressure set to 40psi and it took just over 8 minutes for the JQP3750 to inflate the tire. The hose (near the air pump outlet) gets really hot and you need to let it cool down before removing it.

The JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter with Tire Inflators boasts a massive 96Wh battery (26000mAh at 3.7V). When you are not using the device for jump starting a car or filling up air in a tire, you can use this giant battery as a power bank to charge your smartphones and laptops. Such feature is very useful if you are camping or going on a long road trip.

It has two USB ports; one USB Type-A and the other USB Type-C. The regular USB port supports QC3.0 18W. So, you can fast charge your mobiles. But if you want to really fast charge your devices, then you have to use the USB-C Port. It supports 60W USB-PD output.

JOMGAND Jump Starter Compressor Features

What about charging the Jump Starter’s Battery? The USB-C Port also doubles as a charging port i.e., it acts as both input and output. There is an LED on the display of the JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter to indicate whether the device is in input mode or output mode. Sadly, both input and output are limited to 60W through the USB-C.

We charged a completely dead jump starter using a 60W USB-PD Adapter and it took just over 100 minutes to fully charge the unit. We felt that a 100W input and output over USB-C Port would charge much quickly and we can use it as power bank for charging larger laptops as well.

USB-A Port is an output only port and supports 5V/3A, 9V/2A, and 12V/1.5A (Max. 18W). The USB-C is both input and output and supports 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, and 20V/3A (Max. 60W).

There is another way to charge the JQP3750. It is using the 12V cigarette lighter port inside the car. Even in this case, the maximum power to the jump starter’s battery is 60W (12V/5A).Last but not least, there is a handy little (or rather large) LED Flash Light on the jump starter. It is very bright and supports multiple modes.

The selling price of the JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter with Air Compressor is $170 but with coupons and other discounts, you can get the device for way less than that. The price to performance figures of this unit is very good. The jump starter, air compressor, and the power bank, all features are worthy. But the only downside is JOMGAND only provides a 12-month warranty for the JQP3750. We felt that at least a 3-year or 5-year warranty on this product would have been nice.

Overall, we really liked the features, performance, and price of the JOMGAND JQP3750 Jump Starter with Air Compressor. They claim the jump starter can work on larger diesel (up to 8.5L) and gas engines (up to 10L) but we could test it only on a 3.3L V6. And it worked very well both in case of a discharged battery and a completely dead battery.

The tire inflator is a nice touch as the large battery capacity of the unit means you don’t have to worry about wires and cables while inflating tires. Speaking of large batteries, we can use the JQP3750 as a power bank to charge our electronics. Although the maximum input and output is limited to only 60W. The flash light is also a nice feature to have.

If you are looking for an all-in-one Jump Starter, that can help you jump start a car, inflate tires, act as an emergency light, check the voltage of battery, check the pressure of tires, and even act as a power bank, then the JOMGAND JQP3750Jump Starter with Air Compressor is a worthy option to consider.
