Note: If “DefaultPassword” doesn’t exist, create a new String Value with that name.

  • Close the Registry Editor – you’re done there.
  • To finish, click “Start,” choose “Shutdown,” and click OK.

Note: If you don’t set a DefaultPassword, Windows changes the AutoAdminLogon feature from being “on” to “off.” So, without that password, the automatic login feature gets turned off automatically.
